Rotational Force - Duncan Imperial Experiment

[Timestamp: 8:35-9:01] David Griggs in zero-gravity floats into frame yo-yoing tricks including the "famous" oy-oy with the Duncan Imperial (yellow). Originally the Duncan-brand yo-yo was going to be the Tom Kuhn No Jive 3-in-1. Due to its wooden design, it was discarded.

On April 12, 1985 on the space shuttle Discovery a yellow plastic Duncan Imperial became the first yo-yo in space. The yo-yo was part of a experiment series "Toys in space" where the Duncan yo-yo joined on nine other toys in Space Shuttle Discovery's mission 51-D.  (yo-yos.net)

Trivia: An opaque yellow Imperial was the first yo-yo sent into space, on April 12th, 1985. This was a part of a series of scientific experiments called, "Toys in Space", where different toys were tested in outer space to see how they are affected by weightlessness. Originally, a Tom Kuhn No Jive 3-in-1 was going to be the first yo-yo in space, but because it was made of wood, it did not meet NASA's safety requirements. (yoyo.fandom.com)
